Digital Accelerator Success Story!

Stefan complete our Digital Accelerator course and is now confident using Adobe Cloud Software and has created an incredible website! We caught up with him to find out how he found his experience on his digital skills training course…

1.What made you apply for the Digital Accelerator course?

I wanted to start a career in digital but I didn’t know where to start. I didn’t have a degree or a design background but I knew that it was something I was interested in. I knew that it was going to give me the skills I needed to start my career.

2. What did you hope to gain from doing the course?

Before doing the digital accelerator course, I felt that the barrier to entry to the adobe suite was quite high (including the cost, and the high learning curve). I wanted to learn the fundamentals of working in digital so I wasn’t completely lost when trying to get into the workplace.

3. How did the Digital Accelerator course help you secure your job?

The skills that I learned with respect to the interview process and how to write a creative CV was super helpful. It also helped me to develop some of the language necessary to communicate with people in the digital industry.

4. How has the digital accelerator course helped you in your job?

The skills I learned in the digital accelerator course have helped me a lot in my current job. From the basics of UI Design patterns, to standard workplace file naming procedures to using design software that can be transferred into almost anything. I wouldn’t have felt as comfortable as I do now without it and I’ve definitely been able to build on the skills that I learned to start building a career that I love.

5. What would you say to someone who is interested in doing the course?

Go for it! The teachers are all great (thanks Clare, Cath and John)! You’ll learn a lot whether you already work in digital or are on your way to the industry.

6. If you had to sum up your digital accelerator experience in one sentence, what would it be?

Interesting, fun but intense learning that certainly helped me on my way to starting my career in digital.
